Champions Chennai Look To Extend Domination

Chennai Super Kings have had an exception 2010 when they won both the IPL as well as the Champions League T20 championships. The world cup winning team captain M.S. Dhoni also had an exceptional 12 months as a captain where he lead Chennai Super Kings to IPL and Champions League T20 and then recently led India to World Cup glory at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. The IPL auction held in January saw other IPL teams making major changes to their teams by buying big names in T20 but Chennai did their best to retain many of their players. They held back four best players, M.S. Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay and Albie Mrkel and fought hard to repurchase the likes of R Ashwin, Doug Bollinger, Mike Hussey, Shadab Jakati and S Badrinath from the auction pool.

Big Names Out This Season For Chennai
The Chennai Super Kings have lost two huge players in Muttiah Muralitharan and Matthew Hayden and though it seems to be a huge loss may not be actually as bad. Hayden did not look at his dominating form last season while they have got young and talented Suraj Randiv to replace Muralitharan.
Big Names In This Season For Chennai
Chennai have included talented pacers Nuwan Kulasekara and Tim Southee for the new season. Both exceptional seam bowlers will only bolster Chennai's bowling department. Apart from this they have picked Dwyane Bravo who is arguably one of the best all rounder in the modern game.
