Pune Warriors outclassed Deccan Chargers as disciplined bowling from Mitchel Marsh and Yuvraj Singh and good batting from Manish Pandey and Sourav Ganguly. This match saw Sourav Ganguly make his debut for Pune Warriors.

The match was irrelevant as it has no impact on who goes to the playoffs but Pune's professional display gave something to cheer for their fans.
