ESPN to broadcast t20 cricket from West Indies from July 22nd

The T20 Championship of West Indies starts on July 22nd. The champions of the tournament will proceed to qualify for the Champions League to be played in South Africa from September 10th. Last years Carribean qualifier, The Trinidad & Tobago were quite a revelation with some fantastic cricket. It remains to be seen who qualifies to play in the champions league this season. The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has tied with the ESPN UK for a partnership of exclusive broadcast rights for the inaugural Caribbean T20 Tournament.

Eight different teams from all parts of the Caribbean islands will fight it out to be crowned the Carribean king of T20 cricket. The first round of the tournament will be played from July 22nd to July 25th. Similarly the second round will be played from 28 to 31 July. With ESPN bagging the telecasting rights the tournament is expected to generate huge excitement among cricket fans across the Caribbean.
